SunnySide Performing Arts Ministry
The sequel to PHISH CAMP, opens in early January to continue the Christmas Spirit into the New Year. Sunnyside Performing Arts Ministry at Westland United Methodist Church, 110 Dawson Lane, Lebanon, is pleased to present another “romp through the swamp of Buzzard Bay, SC”. This original work written and directed by Frank Fox continues the story of Mac and Betty Phish and their new-found friends from NY, Big Tony and Vera. Randy Laine will be returning in his role as Sheriff Burl Ledbetter, and the Phish daughters, Cat and Star, will be played again by real-life sisters, Sheridan and Kendall Hitchcox. SPAM patrons will see more of Gil, the local swamp creature. Austin Wingett will don the custom latex and makeup designed by Deron Martel, via Studio D FX. Martel is also seen in GIL’S GIFT and other SPAM productions, along with his real-life wife, Brendan, who recently completed her Masters Degree in Theatre at Cumberland University. Big Tony’s brother, Nunzio, shows up in this production, bringing “nuttin’ but trouble”, played by Scott Pulliam. The cast is completed with performances by Sara Dhom, Sam Crutcher, and Kenn Stilger.
Show dates are: Thursday-Sunday, January 3-6, and Thursday-Saturday, January 10-12. Sunday Matinee at 2:30 p.m., all other shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Thursday, show only, $12 for remaining shows, which includes dessert at intermission. Please call 615-549-6808 for reservations.
